At the end of 2016, the new version of the new energy vehicle subsidy policy was officially released, and the subsidies for passenger cars, buses, and special vehicles showed an overall downward trend. The central government subsidy for passenger cars basically declined by 20%, and the central and local subsidies declined by about 45,000 (calculated based on the highest amount). In order to stabilize the market, some car companies adopted the strategy of keeping prices unchanged before the Spring Festival and self-subsidizing, while some companies increased the sales price of their products. A media conducted a survey on whether the increase in the sales price of new energy vehicles this year is reasonable, the acceptable range of price adjustments, and whether it will affect the annual sales of new energy vehicles. Survey data shows that 52% of potential consumers believe that the reduction in subsidies for new energy vehicles and the increase in terminal sales prices are unreasonable, while 22% believe that they are reasonable. Regarding the price adjustment range of new energy vehicles, 70% of the interested parties believe that the price increase of new energy vehicles will only be a small increase, and 18% of the interested parties believe that the price of new energy vehicles will not increase for the time being. In recent years, as new energy vehicles have become increasingly popular, more and more related supporting factories have emerged, and the cost of new energy parts has begun to drop significantly. The update of technology has also reduced the cost of core components of new energy vehicles. Now the subsidies have shrunk significantly, and it is expected that the subsidies will be completely cancelled by 2020. On the one hand, the companies that cheat on subsidies can be eliminated by eliminating the false and retaining the true. On the other hand, in order to allow consumers to continue to buy new energy vehicles, companies will inevitably lower the once high prices and keep the prices of new energy vehicles within a reasonable range. This means that the subsidy of up to 44,000 yuan will not increase the cost of car purchases for consumers, and will ultimately be paid by new energy vehicle companies. Regarding the increase, the relevant media has learned from the new energy vehicle experience center that the prices of the new energy vehicles sold in the center have changed. For example, the prices of two new energy vehicles of BAIC EU260 have increased by 3,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan. There are also other media reports that the prices of three new energy vehicles of BYD will increase by 10,000 yuan. Gasgoo learned through research that 63% of potential consumers believe that price adjustments within 5,000 yuan are acceptable, and only 2% of potential consumers can accept an adjustment range of less than 50,000 yuan. The survey found that more than 50% of the respondents said that price increases would seriously affect the annual sales of new energy vehicles, and only 5% believed that the price increase of new energy vehicles would have little impact on market sales. The sales of new energy vehicles are closely related to policies. As the policies have not been clarified, the new energy vehicle market in Beijing has already fallen into a state of stagnation. The reason is that on the one hand, the local subsidy standards of Beijing have just been issued, but the models that can enjoy the subsidies are not yet clear, and car companies dare not rashly sell them; on the other hand, before the end of last year, it was learned that the subsidies were about to be reduced, which made the vast majority of consumers who held car purchase quotas concentrate on buying cars last year. The results of the first batch of lottery this year need to be released on February 26, and only a few people have not used the quotas yet. On the surface, the adjustment of the subsidy amount has the greatest impact on car companies, but in fact, this is not only a problem faced by car companies themselves, but also a problem of the entire new energy vehicle industry chain. Regarding the issue of product price adjustment, the battery, which accounts for the largest cost of the whole vehicle, will definitely share the largest cost, and the cost of other components will also be adjusted as a whole. But whether consumers will also be the object of sharing depends on the market strategies of different companies. Industry insiders believe that the current new energy vehicle market is still highly dependent on subsidies, and policy changes will directly affect the production and sales of new energy vehicles. However, as consumers' acceptance of new energy vehicles increases, and independent car companies and joint venture car companies have successively launched new energy strategies, even if they face a decline in subsidies this year, the new energy vehicle market should have a good performance. In this regard, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers also predicts that the sales volume of new energy vehicles this year will maintain a growth rate of about 50%, reaching 700,000 to 800,000 vehicles.
