Forest fire, also known as forest fire , is a fire that is out of human control. It will spread and expand freely in the forest, causing great harm and losses to the forest and humans.

Forest fires are sudden, destructive, and relatively difficult to handle and rescue . They are undoubtedly a serious disaster and our "most dangerous enemy."

Forest fires can be divided into two categories: natural forest fires and man-made forest fires . Natural forest fires include lightning fires and spontaneous combustion. Man-made forest fires include fires used in agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry, industrial and mining transportation, outdoor smoking, cooking, burning paper, burning incense, setting off fireworks, burning wasteland, and arson.

What are the hazards of forest fires?

So, what harm do forest fires bring?

First of all, forest fires will cause forest land to be exposed and lose its original function of conserving water and soil, which may lead to a series of natural disasters such as floods, droughts, mudslides, landslides, and sandstorms.

Secondly, forest fires not only cause the death of a large number of trees , reduce forest stand density and destroy the structure of the forest, but also promote the growth of low-value tree species, shrubs and weeds, thereby reducing the overall utilization value of the forest.

Furthermore, the growth of trees burned by fire will decline, providing a breeding ground for forest pests and diseases , accelerating the death of trees. The forest environment after a fire will change dramatically, leading to an imbalance in ecological factors such as weather, water and soil, which often takes a long time to recover.

In addition, forest fires can also burn down production facilities and buildings in forest areas , posing a threat to the safety of life and property of towns and residents near the forests. At the same time, the smoke produced by the fire can seriously pollute the air environment. Fighting forest fires requires a lot of manpower, material and financial resources, which not only affects industrial and agricultural production, but sometimes also causes casualties and affects social stability and harmony.
