Let me explain here: The full score of Jiangsu College Entrance Examination is 480 points, with 160 points for Chinese, 160 points for Mathematics, and 120 points for English. In addition to the college entrance examination scores, Jiangsu candidates also need to consider the elective grades when applying for university. Except for Peking University and Tsinghua University, which have an A+ requirement for elective subject grades, most of the 985 key universities such as Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, and Jiaotong University require double A grades. Although Bai Xiangling from Huaiyin Middle School scored a total of 430 points, her grade in history, a compulsory subject for liberal arts students, was only B+.
