Defense Guide:

01 Key points for travel precautions during the flood season

(1) Pay attention to weather forecasts and avoid traveling during heavy rain, especially avoid traveling to mountainous areas, river valleys, and other areas prone to disasters such as flash floods, mud and rock flows, and landslides.

(2) Avoid staying in open areas, under large trees, next to tall towers, and other places prone to lightning strikes, and promptly go to a safe room to avoid rain and lightning.

(3) Take precautions against the impact of strong winds on tourism activities, such as avoiding outdoor activities at the seaside, on mountaintops, and other places with strong winds.

(4) Avoid swimming or other water activities in waters where the water conditions are unknown to prevent drowning accidents. Do not risk wading through flooded roads or bridges to ensure your own safety.

(5) Pay attention to driving safety and avoid driving on roads with deep water to prevent the vehicle from stalling or other traffic accidents. When driving on mountain roads, pay attention to prevent disasters such as landslides and falling rocks to ensure driving safety.

02 Lightning protection guide during flood season

Thunderstorms are frequent and dangerous during the flood season, so it is necessary to master some special knowledge of lightning protection, which may save your own life or the life of your companions at a critical moment.

03 Correct response to hail

1. Pay attention to weather information. When the meteorological station issues a hail warning, you should try to avoid traveling to avoid unnecessary injuries.

2. If you are caught in hailstorms outdoors, you should immediately hide in a safe room. In windy weather, stay away from high-altitude work facilities, factory sheds, billboards, dilapidated houses and large trees. In thunderstorms, stay away from tall objects such as iron towers, chimneys, and electric poles, and do not hide under large trees or isolated sheds and cabins to avoid the rain.

3. When hail is likely to occur, avoid parking your vehicle under a tree. It is recommended to park your vehicle indoors or in an underground parking lot, and avoid areas near windows. If you can only park outdoors, consider purchasing a professional vehicle hail protection cover, or prepare a thicker blanket or quilt, install it on the vehicle, and cover it when parking. Pay special attention to protecting vulnerable parts such as the windshield to reduce the risk of the vehicle being damaged.

04 Regarding urban flooding: Be alert to these risks and hidden dangers!

summary:

1. The government and relevant departments shall do a good job in preventing rainstorms in accordance with their duties;

2. Traffic management departments shall take traffic control measures in heavy rain sections according to road conditions and implement traffic guidance in flooded sections;

3. Cut off dangerous outdoor power supplies in low-lying areas, suspend outdoor operations in open areas, and move people in dangerous areas and residents of dangerous buildings to safe places to take shelter from the rain;

4. Check the drainage systems of cities, farmlands and fish ponds, and take necessary drainage measures.
