China Association of Automobile Manufacturers: A brief overview of automobile industry production and sales in April 2022

In April 2022 , automobile production and sales showed a significant decline. The domestic epidemic situation is generally showing a trend of multiple outbreaks, the situation is more severe and complex, the difficulties faced by market entities have increased significantly, and the downward pressure on the economy has further increased.

In April 2022 , automobile production and sales reached 1.205 million and 1.181 million respectively, down 46.2% and 47.1% month-on-month and down 46.1% and 47.6% year -on-year .

In January-April 2022 , automobile production and sales were 7.69 million and 7.691 million, down 10.5% and 12.1% year-on-year , ending the growth trend in January-March .

In April 2022 , the production and sales of passenger cars reached 996,000 and 965,000 respectively , a month -on-month decrease of 47.1% and 48.2% , and a year-on-year decrease of 41.9 % and 43.4% .

In January-April 2022 , the production and sales of passenger cars were 6.494 million and 6.51 million, down 2.6% and 4.2% year -on-year .

In April 2022 , the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 210,000 and 216,000 respectively , a month -on-month decrease of 41.8 % and 41.6% , and a year-on-year decrease of 59.8% and 60.7% .

In January-April 2022 , the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 1.195 million and 1.181 million, down 37.9% and 39.8% year-on-year , and the decline continued to expand compared with January-March .

In April 2022 , the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 312,000 and 299,000 respectively , a month -on-month decrease of 33.0% and 38.3% , and a year-on-year increase of 43.9 % and 44.6% , with a market share of 25.3% .

From January to April 2022 , the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 1.605 million and 1.556 million, respectively, both up 1.1 times year-on-year, and the market share reached 20.2% .
