Jaguar Land Rover's parent company invested $900 million in Faraday Future, but can Jia Yueting really turn things around?

Looking at the present, no matter how short of money your company is, it may not be as short of money as LeTV.

After Jia Yueting flew to the United States and left, LeTV, which was in deep financial trouble, seemed to have entered a dead end that no one could solve. But for Boss Jia himself, Faraday Future is still pursuing his "car-making dream", and it may have become the only chance for a turnaround. And now, the person who sends money to Faraday has really come.

Recently, according to foreign media reports, Faraday Future received US$900 million (equivalent to RMB 6 billion) in financial support from Jaguar Land Rover's parent company, Indian automobile company Tata. This move allowed Tata Motors to exchange for a 10% stake in Faraday Future. It can be seen that Faraday Future's current valuation may have reached US$9 billion.

The financial pressure has been alleviated to a certain extent, and Faraday Future's future has obviously become much brighter, but the market is still the only criterion for testing a brand.

You know, as one of the few businesses that Boss Jia has "successfully" made, the previous LeTV Super TV was recognized by the industry because of its impressive sales performance under the strategy of ecological development and negative profit pricing.

On the other hand, Faraday Future, which focuses on the electrification and intelligence of automobiles, has only unveiled a concept car called FF 91 so far, which is obviously positioned as a high-end luxury car. Industry insiders even predict that its final market price will be higher than Tesla's. Can this product achieve good sales in the market? It is undoubtedly unknown.

Of course, Tata, which has invested this money, will naturally not make a loss-making deal. This transaction enables it to obtain intellectual property rights related to Faraday's electric technology and accumulate technical resources for the electric vehicles that Jaguar and Land Rover brands will launch in 2020.
