Recently, NIO issued an announcement stating that NIO's Chief Financial Officer Xie Dongying has resigned from the position of Chief Financial Officer for personal reasons, and NIO is actively looking for a successor.

In May 2017, Xie Dongying joined NIO and was responsible for financing and related financial affairs. As early as September 25, 2019, at the NIO financial meeting, Xie Dongying also introduced that NIO would conduct a new round of financing. As a result, Xie Dongying hastily resigned in less than a month, which inevitably made people worry about NIO's financing situation.

Last month, NIO released its Q2 2019 financial report, which showed that NIO's total revenue was 1.508 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7.5%; its net loss exceeded 3.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.2%. As a result, NIO's stock price plummeted, and NIO's stock price has now fallen 80% from its peak.

According to Qichacha data, NIO's most recent financing was on May 28, 2019, when it received a strategic investment of RMB 10 billion from Yizhuang State Investment. Under the dual influence of poor financial data and the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Xie Dongying, it is unclear how NIO can save itself.
