In recent years, my country's new energy vehicle market has developed rapidly, which has also led to the rise of a large number of new energy vehicle companies. After gaining a foothold in China, many brands have also set their sights on the international market. BYD, NIO, Xpeng and other brands have entered Europe. Data released by the Passenger Car Association (hereinafter referred to as "PCA") showed that in the first half of this year, China's new energy vehicle exports were 173,300 units, a year-on-year increase of 151%. During the same period, my country's automobile exports increased by 118% year-on-year. Passenger cars played a major role in this round of export boom. In the first half of this year, among China's new energy vehicles exported, passenger cars accounted for 75%, with a total of about 130,000 vehicles, trucks accounted for about 19%, buses accounted for about 2%, and special vehicles accounted for about 5%. Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the China Passenger Car Association, said that although the global chip shortage has had a certain impact on domestic automobile exports, the situation faced by developed countries is more severe, which has led to rapid growth in China's new energy vehicle exports. Another important factor attracting domestic brands to go overseas is the new energy policies of European countries. The EU set a more radical emission reduction target in the "Fit for 55" draft released on July 14, requiring new car emissions to drop by 65% from this year's level starting in 2030 and achieve net zero emissions in 2035. European countries have also successively implemented new energy subsidy policies since last year, and some countries have continued to increase them this year. For example, Spain adjusted the maximum EV subsidy from 5,500 euros to 7,000 euros, and Austria also increased the subsidy by nearly 2,000 euros to 5,000 euros.
