I have been wrong for many years! You cannot put meat in plastic bags in supermarkets!

Here’s a little-known fact that may subvert your perception: the rolled plastic bags in supermarkets and the transparent plastic bags we commonly use are not suitable for storing meat for a long time , even if they are food grade!

This type of bag is usually made of HDPE material, which is easy to decompose due to long-term contact with grease (of course, temporary packaging is not a big problem), so it is really not recommended to store meat for a long time.

So when you buy meat from the supermarket and bring it home, it's best to replace the bag with a sealed food bag (generally reusable) or a glass storage box , and don't throw the bag directly into the refrigerator.

There are many common plastic products around us (please see candidate No. 2 below for transparent plastic bags in supermarkets). Some are afraid of oil, and some are afraid of high temperatures. If you want to use them safely, you must look carefully!

The big-bellied cup that is very popular recently is actually a transparent plastic water cup, usually made of PC and Tritan (both No. 7). If you are worried about the release of bisphenol A, you can try to choose Tritan material (the price may be more expensive) when purchasing.

Of course, it doesn’t mean that PC material is definitely unsafe. It’s just that relatively speaking, Tritan has better heat resistance . PC material is also worth buying.
