Is Microsoft Edge slower than Chrome? Test results released

- Apple JetStream (higher scores are better)

- Google Octane (higher scores are better)

- Mozilla Kraken (lower scores are better, in milliseconds)

- Peacekeeper (the higher the score, the better)

- SunSpider 1.0.2 JavaScript Benchmark (lower is better)

- WebXPRT 2015 (higher scores are better)

As can be seen from the table, Microsoft Edge browser performed well in the JetStream and Sunspider test projects, beating all its competitors, but it also had its moments of failure. For example, in the Peacekeeper test (which tests HTML5 performance), it ranked last among the eight browsers.

Therefore, Martin’s opinion is that although Microsoft has made a lot of optimization adjustments, it is a bit of an exaggeration to say that Edge is the fastest or has replaced Chrome.
