The news that NIO is opening up its battery swap business has finally come to fruition. Today, Changan Automobile and NIO officially signed a relevant cooperation agreement in Chongqing. The two parties agreed to jointly promote the construction and contribution of battery swap battery standards and battery swap networks. At the same time, the two parties also agreed to jointly launch a battery swap model with a shared battery pack in 2025.

Li Bin, chairman of NIO, once said, "Our battery swap business has reached the point where it can be opened to the outside world. We will provide our next-generation battery pack standard 800V high-voltage quick-swap platform to the entire industry."

As NIO's core competitiveness, battery swapping is an important reference for users to choose its models. Industry insiders pointed out to 91che that JD.com's biggest advantage is logistics. After opening up, it not only did not weaken its competitiveness, but also promoted more users to rely on JD.com's services. NIO's move is also similar. By opening up its core capabilities, it can not only empower partners, but also improve equipment efficiency and expand the user base.
