Hurun Research Institute: Zhang Yiming's wealth will increase by 76% to 435 billion yuan in 2025, making him China's richest man

Recently, Hurun Research Institute released the "2025 Hurun Global Rich List", which is the 14th consecutive year that Hurun Research Institute has released the "Global Rich List". 56-year-old Lei Jun is one of the entrepreneurs with the fastest wealth growth this year. His wealth has more than doubled to 220 billion yuan, entering the top ten in China for the first time.

Other Chinese entrepreneurs worth noting include Zeng Yuqun, 57, of CATL, whose wealth increased by 61% to 270 billion yuan; Chen Tianshi, 40, of Beijing-based chipmaker Cambrian, whose wealth increased more than fivefold to 87 billion yuan; Zhou Chaonan, 65, and his family of Runze Technology, a data center infrastructure service provider of ByteDance, whose wealth more than doubled to 42.5 billion yuan; and Wang Ning, 38, and his family of Beijing-based Pop Mart, whose wealth increased threefold to 50.5 billion yuan.

ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming, 42, replaced 71-year-old "bottled water king" Zhong Shanshan to become China's richest man; thanks to the valuation increase brought by ByteDance's momentum and prospects for AI business, Zhang Yiming's wealth reached 435 billion yuan, an increase of 76%, or 190 billion yuan. Tencent's 54-year-old Ma Huateng surpassed Pinduoduo's Huang Zheng and ranked among the top three in China with 320 billion yuan.
