There is a way to save your old iPhone. Changing the region to France will make it run much more smoothly. I tried all three iPhones.

Let’s try it with iPhoneXs first. When the iPhoneXs is in China, run a score on the phone. The chip of iPhoneXs is A12 chip, and the AnTuTu score is more than 382,000 points.

Then change the region to France. This is very simple. Just change the region to France in Settings - Language & Region - Region. After changing the region, the phone will perform a short black screen hot restart. That's it. Then do the AnTuTu running test. A funny thing happens. It shows about 364,000, which is still a low score.

Obviously, there is no difference from the running points. Of course, smoothness is not necessarily reflected in the running points. From my actual operation, there is actually no difference in fluency, including opening the APP and performing some daily operations, etc., they are all the same.

Maybe my iPhoneXs is not old enough, so I will take the old iPhone7 for test. This phone uses the A10 chip. When the iPhone7 is located in China, the AnTuTu score is about 246,000 points.

Then I changed the region to France using the same method and continued to test it through AnTuTu. I found that the score was also lower, becoming 236,000 points. However, from the actual operating experience, there was no change in fluency.

Next is the iPhone 12 mini, which uses the A14 chip. When the iPhone 12 mini is located in China, the AnTuTu score is around 710,000 points.

Then I changed the region to France using the same method and continued to test it through AnTuTu. I found that after changing the region, the running score also became lower, to around 690,000 points. From the actual operating experience, there was no change, and the fluency was about the same.

Through these three mobile phones, including the older iPhone 7, the half-old iPhone Xs, and last year's iPhone 12 mini, it was found that the scores were lowered when the region was changed to France. However, from the actual operation point of view, there was no change at all. This should be able to explain the problem.
