Submission entrances to major search engines, search engine summary and sitemap submission!

In the previous article, I wrote about using tools to push sitemaps to Baidu. At that time, I was just introducing the tools, so I didn’t write about it in detail. This article will describe the role of Sitemap and the push channels of various search engines.

Sitemap function:

Sitemaps are designed to help webmasters inform search engines which pages on their website are available for crawling. The most commonly used Sitemap is an XML file. You can mention the main keywords you want to optimize in the text and hyperlinks of the sitemap to help search engines identify them and facilitate search engines to crawl the website more intelligently.

Sitemap push channel:

Sitemap is for the convenience of search engine crawling, so it is basically submitted through the webmaster platform of each search engine.

domestic:

Baidu: It is the largest search engine in China, so updates should be submitted frequently. Baidu has two submission entrances. Sitemap maps can only be submitted through Baidu Resources, and Baidu Bear can only be submitted in the form of a link. However, because Baidu Bear has a better collection effect than Baidu Resources, and the interfaces on both sides are connected and cannot be submitted repeatedly, it is recommended to use Baidu Bear for daily updates.

360: One of the mainstream search engines in China. After submission, it will help 360 spiders crawl the website more comprehensively and quickly.

Sogou: One of the mainstream search engines in China. After submission, it will help Sogou spider to crawl the website more comprehensively and quickly. However, we currently adopt an invitation system, and those who are not invited can only submit links one by one (the next article will write separately about how to submit Sogou sitemap without being invited).

Shenma: One of the mainstream mobile search engines in China, relying on UC browser, Shenma performs well on mobile phones and has a tendency to surpass Baidu, so it can be considered for regular maintenance.

Guosou: It seems that it was just started in the past two years. Someone once came to the company to promote it. It was said that it was jointly founded by the seven major central media. It is more political and good for reading news, but the market share... I'm just mentioning this here, if your business direction requires it, you can consider giving it a try.

Bing: A powerful product of Microsoft, it occupies a certain search share in the US market. And because of the cooperative relationship between Yahoo English and Microsoft's Bing, the sitemap submission was also submitted to Microsoft. Moreover, in China, the default browser of Windows 10 computers also uses Bing search. Submitting in one place can benefit multiple places, so it is worth considering. The most important thing is that the administrator tool function is very powerful.

Google: Google is the world's largest search engine. Unfortunately, it cannot be used in China without special tools. If it could be used, Baidu would have no place. However, for companies targeting the international market, submitting a sitemap is just the basics and is the most powerful webmaster tool.

Yandex: Yandex is the largest search engine in Russia, equivalent to Baidu in Russia. Administrator tools provide functions similar to Google Webmaster and are also very powerful.

Except for Bing, these foreign apps all require special tools to use, so many companies and individuals have given up. After all, if you can't use it, your customers can't use it either. Unless the business is targeted at international markets.

Tips:

Add sitemap to the robots.txt file, and search engines can get the sitemap when crawling robots.txt. The method is very simple. Just add the sitemap address in the first or last line of robots.txt in the following format.
