After our Douyin account is positioned and packaged, we have to consider what content to shoot and what type of videos users will like to watch? Let’s talk about how to create high-quality short videos in a streamlined manner.

What constitutes high-quality content? What are the elements of a high-quality short video?

1. What is high-quality content?

The video formats on Tik Tok are generally divided into three categories:

  • The first type is the fun type, such as those funny and weird ones.
  • The second type is the eye-catching type, such as little brothers and sisters, cute pets, cute babies, and beautiful scenery
  • The third type is useful, allowing others to learn the knowledge and skills in your field through your work.

If we want to achieve the goal of accurate traffic generation through Douyin, which content format should we choose?

It is recommended that you choose to shoot useful videos.

Some people may refute me like this: most users on Tik Tok like to watch interesting or pleasing content, so I have to shoot more funny and good-looking videos to increase my followers?

If you think like this, then you are still at the level of thinking of ordinary users. Ordinary users have no requirements for fans. As long as there are people watching and fans, it's enough.

But you are doing business, and you hope to attract accurate fans through Douyin to make money, not to create an internet celebrity, so what you need to do is to make videos that are useful to the customers you want and attract accurate fans.

If you want to attract precise fans in your industry vertical, then remember this sentence: "Make videos that are useful to the customers you want to close." This is the core of creating high-quality content on Douyin.

You can appear on camera yourself or ask someone else to appear on camera, impart knowledge about your industry to the camera, and establish yourself as an expert in your field. Let me show you a few examples of what real-life storytelling videos look like.

Through your personal language and actions, you can convey the content in your professional field, establish yourself as an expert, and build your personal industry IP.

Why do we recommend short videos in which real people impart industry knowledge? This is because there are three benefits to this type of video:

  • The operation is simple. You don’t need to have good looks, a good figure, or good talents. As long as you can speak, everyone can operate it.
  • It is convenient to build personal IP, establish an expert image, build trust, and ultimately improve the conversion rate of traffic.
  • Now Douyin is vigorously supporting light knowledge content. Videos in which real people impart industry knowledge are welcomed by Douyin, and the recommendation efforts will be increased to increase exposure.

To produce short videos in which real people impart industry knowledge, we only need two abilities.

The first is that you must have sufficient industry knowledge reserves. For example, if you want to create the image of a skin care expert, then you must learn and master professional knowledge of skin care. What should I say when I appear in person?

Don’t be impatient. Next, I will teach you three methods. Using these three methods, I guarantee that you will be able to create a steady stream of high-quality content scripts immediately.

The first two methods are used by many people, and the third method is our original method, so you must read it carefully.

1. Reinterpret the content of the benchmark account

We talked about this when we were looking for benchmark accounts. That is, you should watch the short videos posted by the benchmark accounts you found, then record the content of the short videos, make some modifications based on your own understanding, and then speak them out in person.

Here’s a way to find industry knowledge accounts. Just search for “light knowledge” on Douyin, and you’ll find many accounts where real people appear to talk about industry knowledge.

2. Answers to popular questions

You can search for keywords related to your industry on Baidu Knows, Zhihu, and Xiaohongshu, and see what the most frequently asked questions are. If real people appear on camera and give the correct answers to these questions, many people will like to watch it.

Here is an example for you. For example, if you are selling digital products, such as Apple phones, you can go online to find out what problems Apple phone users often encounter. The account below used this method to gain more than 1 million followers.

3. Speak like an expert

Everyone should listen carefully to this method. This method is a killer for those who are used to being fed content on TikTok.

The first step is to open Douban and search for books related to the industry you are working in.

For example, if we are in the health care product business, we can search for books related to nutrition, as shown in the picture below.

The second step is to select a highly rated book and check the table of contents. Each chapter in the table of contents is one of your short videos.

Let’s take the nutrition book “Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents” as an example. Let’s take a look at the table of contents of this book and see if each subheading can be made into a short video.

For example, if we are in the beauty and cosmetics industry or the weight loss industry, we can also find highly rated professional books on Douban, such as the following two.

The third step is to buy this book, either the electronic or paper version, and then summarize the contents of each section of the book into a short video script.

What are the characteristics of this method?

  • First of all, the books with high ratings on Douban must have high-quality content, right?
  • Second, you can produce at least dozens of short video contents from a book.
  • Third, you post your short videos in the order of the table of contents of each book, and your account will naturally have a series of short videos.
