Prominent startup investor: Apple Watch is doomed to fail

Fred Wilson is a well-known startup investor and partner at Union Square Ventures. He has made many predictions about the tech industry in 2015, and he thinks the Apple Watch may not be a success for Apple. Wilson has invested in Twitter, Zynga, and other large companies. He believes that the Apple Watch is far from the iPhone and iPad, which have redefined the consumer electronics industry.

Wilson said: "In the wearables market, reality will not be the same as expected. Apple Watch will not bring the excitement of iPod, iPhone and iPad. Not everyone wants to wear a computer on their wrist. In 2015, wearables will continue to consume the financial, human and time resources of many companies, but the results will not be very good."

T-Mobile CEO John Legere said earlier this week that "the Apple Watch is a very important product for the industry." Wilson also believes that Chinese company Xiaomi will begin to enter the United States. For investors, Wilson believes that Apple stock remains a good choice for investment in 2015.
