The down-to-earth manufacturer focuses on the most realistic path under its feet and launched a down-to-earth model, an SUV with a fairly entry-level price, which is Yundu π1. In terms of appearance, the lines of Yundu π1 are very tough, the overall outline gives people a very compact and powerful feeling, and the whole shape is quite straight. π1 has a front face with prominent features. Although it is eye-catching, the lines are too regular and straightforward, so it looks a bit dull and not cute enough. The design of the center grille is very electric, and the cool large area of bright black panel decoration looks very futuristic. The whole black bumper below is designed to be coherent, which enhances the visual impact of the front face, and the effect is domineering enough. The shape of the lamp group is quite domineering, mainly because of its large area. The LED daytime running lights are very lively, and it would be best if they could be standard on all models. The headlights use halogen light sources, but lenses are added. The size of Yundu π1 is considered small among mainstream small SUVs, and this feeling can be seen from its body. The rear of the car gives people a very small feeling, which looks quite cute, but it lacks the sense of power that an SUV should have, and it is not in harmony with the design of the front of the car. The interior is very simple with clear lines. The straight and continuous horizontal strips bring a good sense of hierarchy, making the center console clearer. For a car positioned like the π1, the interior materials are naturally not high-end, and are mainly covered with hard-touch materials. The center console is very simple with few buttons and they are arranged neatly, and the design style is very avant-garde. The steering wheel is a bit like Mercedes-Benz. In fact, with such an avant-garde center console, the design of the steering wheel should be a bit more sci-fi. The size of the steering wheel is easy to adapt to, a little bit big. The feel is average, and the multi-function buttons on both sides are a bit loose. The tofu-sized screen in the center of the dashboard plays a big role. In addition to displaying the operation menu, even the reversing image is displayed through this screen. Although the size is small, the effect is OK. In terms of power, the intercity version has a maximum power of 116 horsepower and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. The city version has a maximum power of 75 horsepower and a maximum torque of 170 Nm. In addition, the intercity version is equipped with a 38 kWh battery, while the city version is equipped with a 24 kWh battery. Choosing to be down-to-earth does not mean that big things cannot be accomplished. Yundou actually has great ambitions. The first product has already demonstrated its determination to compete for the market in third- and fourth-tier cities, and its positioning is very down-to-earth. Compared with many high-profile new electric vehicle brands, it has gained the upper hand by working hard and started to compete in the market. However, for Yundou's target market, electric vehicles do not actually have many advantages. Consumers do not care at all that electric vehicles have the potential to change the future, and naturally they will not have a high-end halo. Therefore, manufacturers still need to be down-to-earth and take the cost-effective route. As the first model, Yundou π1 is down-to-earth enough. The price positioning is entry-level, the configuration also has many highlights, and the battery life can also be satisfactory. If it is just a means of transportation, then its advantages are obvious. Of course, it can still do better in the details, and it needs to mature quickly before it can gradually become stronger.
