General Motors announced that Dai Weirui will replace Gu Siwo as executive vice president of SAIC-GM-Wuling Co., Ltd., effective August 1, 2017. GM Global Executive Vice President and President of GM China, Tsien Huikang, told Auto Market Online: "Dai Weirui's valuable experience and deep background will help SAIC-GM-Wuling further enhance its brands and expand its product matrix." In the first half of this year, SAIC-GM-Wuling sold a total of 1,013,150 new vehicles. Baojun brand sales totaled 404,000 units, up 22% year-on-year. Baojun 510, which was launched less than five months ago, has sold more than 100,000 units. Dai Weirui took up the post of Executive Vice President of SAIC-GM-Wuling Co., Ltd. on August 1 this year, and will be mainly responsible for the expansion of the joint venture's brand and product matrix.
