The value retention rate has always been an important factor that consumers need to consider when buying a new car, because according to the car-using habits of most domestic consumers, a car is generally sold for a second-hand car after about 5 years, and everyone hopes to get a good price when selling it second-hand. However, the residual value of a Tesla Model S worth 950,000 yuan is less than 33.6% of its original value after three years, and the residual value is only more than 300,000 yuan, while a traditional fuel car of the same value will at least retain more than 50% of its residual value, which will more or less affect consumers' purchase intentions. Since there is no universal calculation formula for the value retention rate of new energy vehicles, the inspection of the power system in the second-hand car evaluation process is completely different from that of fuel vehicles. Second-hand car appraisers need to inspect the power system, but there is currently no third-party organization that can test the system. Although the "Regulations on the Access Management of New Energy Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology requires new energy vehicle manufacturers to monitor the operating safety status of all new energy vehicle products sold, it does not track and test the value retention rate. Many factors, such as the low value retention rate of new energy used vehicles and the imperfect residual value assessment standards, have restricted the development of the new energy vehicle market. In the domestic used car market today, most car dealers will not accept the sale of used new energy vehicles. Although some used car websites sell new energy used vehicles, the actual transaction volume is also very small.
