Yu Chengdong visits BAIC, and the company officially confirms that the Arcfox HBT equipped with Huawei solution will be delivered within this year

Recently, Huawei Consumer BG CEO Yu Chengdong, Global Ecosystem Development Department President Yan Min, Huawei Automotive Intelligent Solutions BU CTO Cai Jianyong and others visited the BAIC Group base and held exchanges with BAIC.

During the communication, it was officially confirmed that the ARCFOX HBT car, which adopts Huawei's intelligent vehicle solution, will be unveiled and delivered this year.

ARCFOX HBT is a high-performance smart electric vehicle jointly developed by ARCFOX and Huawei. It will be equipped with 3 automotive-grade laser sensors, 12 cameras and 13 ultrasonic radars, and the computing power of the Huawei chip used can reach 352Tops.

The laser radar solution adopted by Arcfox HBT is Huawei's highest specification, with a viewing angle of up to 300 degrees. It can easily cope with scenes such as gantries, tunnels, and near-end protrusions. It can also make quick judgments on scenes such as motorcycles and pedestrians crossing the road indiscriminately.

It is reported that the cooperation between BAIC New Energy and Huawei began in 2017 and has continued to deepen in areas such as informatization and intelligent vehicle networking.

At the 2020 Beijing Auto Show, the ARCFOX αT T-BOX equipped with Huawei's new generation 5G chip MH5000 was launched, leading the trend of domestic 5G smart electric vehicles.

News in January this year showed that new models of BAIC New Energy will be launched in the first half of 2021, with Huawei providing technical support in software systems, ICT technology and cloud computing.

At present, Huawei has reached cooperation with more than 30 automobile manufacturers, including BAIC, GAC, FAW, JAC, Volvo, Chery, etc.
