SNE research: Global power battery installations to exceed 700GWh in 2023, with BYD rank second

According to recent news, global consulting firm SNE research released the total global power battery installation data for 2023.

In 2023, the power batteries used in electric vehicles (EV, PHEV, HEV) registered in countries around the world will be approximately 705.5GWh , an increase of 38.6% compared to 2022 (509GWh).

Looking at the top ten companies in the world in terms of installed capacity of power batteries in 2023, Chinese companies still occupy six seats, and the market share of the six Chinese battery companies reaches 63.5%.

The six Chinese battery companies are CATL, BYD, Sinovation, Guoxuan High-tech, EVE Energy, and Sunwoda. Compared with last year's top ten list, EVE Energy replaced Farasis Energy.

Among them, CATL firmly sits in the first place with a share of 36.8% , an increase of 0.6 percentage points compared to 2022 (36.2%).

BYD surpassed LG to take second place with a market share of 15.8%, an increase of 1.9 percentage points compared to 2022 (13.9%).
