"Land Rover cannot be repaired, Toyota cannot be broken down." However, this time the brand that manufactures the unreliable SUV is no longer Land Rover, but Tesla, the American electric car pioneer.

In this year's annual automobile reliability survey report released by Consumer Reports, an authoritative American consumer culture magazine, Tesla's electric SUV Model X was not only listed as one of the top ten least reliable models of the year, but its final score was even lower than Jaguar F-Pace and GMC Acadia, which are considered unreliable products by ordinary consumers, ranking last.

The authority of this survey report from Consumer Reports lies in the fact that it has been conducting reliability surveys on car owners of various models since 1952.

To improve the objectivity of the survey, Consumer Reports will ask car owners about service visits and repairs in a total of 17 areas, including minor issues such as brake noise and interior damage, as well as major issues such as traditional system repairs after the warranty expires and four-wheel drive system failures.

However, Tesla was apparently not satisfied with the survey results and responded in a statement that due to the continuous improvement of the car, the current customer satisfaction with Model X is much higher than the results of the Consumer Reports survey. At the same time, it pointed out that Consumer Reports did not take into account its software updates, which added software-based safety features to existing vehicles.

It is worth noting that in this latest survey report, Kia's new hybrid model Niro was labeled the most reliable, while Toyota and Lexus, two major brands under Toyota, occupied seven seats among the top ten most reliable models, continuing to write the industry legend of high reliability.
