HTC 10 seems to be a new product that Wang Xuehong is determined to improve. There is no series code in front of "10". Its manufacturer may hope to get a full score.

HTC 10 back design

The appearance of HTC 10 is still a continuation of the One series, but without the criticized "four chin" design, HTC has begun to learn to tend towards popular aesthetics.

However, in the Android camp, the leader of this aesthetic is no longer HTC itself, but manufacturers such as Meizu, Xiaomi, and even LeTV.

The BoomSound dual speakers of HTC's flagship phone have been slightly changed. Because of the Home button, the lower speaker has been moved to the bottom of the phone. HTC's own flagships never seem to pursue thinness and lightness. This time the body thickness is 9 mm and the weight is 161 grams.

The 5.2-inch Super LCD screen with 2560*1440 pixels (2K level) has added IPS technology, which provides a slightly better visual experience than the flagship that returned to 1080p this year.

We have discussed the difference between 2K and 1080p screens a long time ago, and it is not as obvious as the numbers seem. This screen is still worthy of praise. When most domestic flagships compromise to 1080p screens, HTC's persistence is rare.

The overseas version of HTC 10 is equipped with a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of body memory. The 3000mAh battery is not too large but enough. It has become the industry's first product equipped with Snapdragon QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging function, which can be fully charged in just 30 minutes.

The number of pixels of the HTC 10 camera has been reduced from 20 million in the previous generation to 12 million, but don’t just look at the numbers, this 12 million is UltraPixel, the area of ​​a single pixel reaches 1.55 microns, theoretically the image quality is better, the front lens is 5 million pixels. Both lenses have an aperture of f/1.8 and support optical image stabilization.

Back camera

From the parameters and appearance, HTC 10 does not seem to reach "10" points, but it is not inferior to any flagship on the market. I am a fan of Zhou Yongming. At a time when bragging is the trend in press conferences, I miss Zhou Yongming, who was a technician, and HTC's Quietly Brilliant (its early advertising slogan, low-key and brilliant) at that time.

Unfortunately, HTC does not seem to pay much attention to the mainland market this time. The phone released globally last night is called "HTC 10", but the Chinese version is called "HTC 10 Lifestyle". It is only equipped with a Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB of memory and 64GB version, and the price is as high as 3799 yuan. In comparison, Xiaomi's phone with better configuration is almost half the price.

Some foreign media commented on this: HTC 10 Lifestyle is the flagship for some unlucky regions.

This strategy of HTC failed miserably, and it is not just because it is expensive. I talked to some former colleagues and they said that even if there is no product in China or the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has not approved it or the main market is not in China, it is better to release the HTC 10 futures on the official website first.

The reduced-equipment version will make mainland users feel discriminated against. Isn't Volkswagen doing this often?
