TrendForce: The world's top ten IC design companies will have a revenue of US$249.8 billion in 2024, with Will Semiconductor ranking ninth

The latest data from market research firm TrendForce shows that the combined revenue of the world's top ten IC design companies in 2024 will be approximately US$249.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 49%. Among them, Nvidia's revenue growth in 2024 will be as high as 125%, significantly ahead of other manufacturers.

TrendForce pointed out that in 2024, the top five global top ten IC design companies will contribute more than 90% of their combined revenue.

Among them, the strong demand for NVIDIA's H100/H200 products pushed its IC design-related revenue to more than US$124.3 billion in 2024, accounting for as much as 50%. It is expected that subsequent products such as GB200/GB300 will further drive NVIDIA's AI-related revenue in 2025.

Broadcom's semiconductor division revenue in 2024 will reach US$30.644 billion, an increase of 8% year-on-year, with AI chip revenue accounting for more than 30% of its semiconductor solutions. It is expected that Broadcom's wireless communications, broadband and server storage businesses will rebound more strongly in 2025.

It is worth noting that Will Semiconductor still ranks 9th, with revenue of US$3.048 billion in 2024, up 21% from 2023. In recent years, the company has benefited from the increase in the proportion of high-end CIS in Android phone shipments and the continued penetration of electric vehicle autonomous driving applications around the world, especially in China.

TrendForce predicts that with the growth of AI computing power and the continued emergence of large-scale language models in 2025, edge AI devices will become the next wave of semiconductor growth momentum.
