Lamborghini Urus to be launched in China in 2018, will launch its first plug-in hybrid car

According to foreign media reports, Lamborghini's R&D director has confirmed that Lamborghini's new Urus SUV will be launched in 2018, and the SUV will also launch the first plug-in hybrid model in its series.

Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini's research and development director, said the Lamborghini Urus SUV will launch the brand's first plug-in hybrid model, which will also be the only Lamborghini plug-in hybrid model.

According to relevant reports, Francesco Scardaoni, general manager of Lamborghini Automobile Greater China, said in an interview that it has been confirmed that Lamborghini's SUV Urus will be launched in China in 2018. This is also a very critical product line for Lamborghini in the Chinese market. Lamborghini will do its utmost to ensure that China becomes one of the earliest markets for SUVs to be launched.

The Urus, which shares a platform with the Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga, will be equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine. Maurizio Reggiani did not give specific parameter details, but he said that the maximum output power of the Lamborghini SUV will exceed the 447kW (600Ps) of the Bentley Bentayga.

Maurizio Reggiani said that the Urus is a pure Lamborghini, and the new car has evolved from a concept car, and the vehicle has become better both inside and out. Turbocharging is essential for the Urus because SUVs require large torque.
