Apple has officially released iOS 9 today. Compared with the previous generation of operating systems, iOS 9 has many new changes, such as iPad-specific split-screen multitasking mode, search and Siri optimization, and internal performance enhancements and improvements. As important features of the new system, these were announced at the developer conference in June this year, but Apple has also made some detailed changes to optimize the user experience of iOS 9. The following are some hidden changes we found in iOS 9:

1. Set up search

In Settings, iOS 9 provides a new search bar that allows you to quickly find specific setting options by typing text. For example, if you want to find Siri settings, just type "Siri" in the search bar, and all Siri setting options will be displayed in a list.

2. New "Back" button

When you tap a notification or a Safari link or another app, a new app opens, and you can now return to the previous app with a new "Back" button. The "Back" button will appear for about a minute and then disappear. So if you just want to get a general idea of what the app is about, you can quickly return to the previous app before the "Back" button is pressed.

3.Battery settings

In iOS 9, Apple added a dedicated section in the Settings app where users can turn on and off low power mode and display specific battery consumption information for apps. When low power mode is turned on, the system will disable background tasks and animated wallpapers, etc. For Apple Watch, iOS devices, and some other related devices (such as Bluetooth headsets), battery information will also be displayed in the Notification Center.

4. Find My Friends/iPhone

Find My Friends/iPhone has become a pre-installed app for iOS 9. Previously, users had to download it from the App Store to use it. And you can add Find My Friends to the Notification Center so that you can track your friends' locations.

5. iPad's Application Folder

The number of apps that can be displayed in the iPad's app folder has now been changed from the previous 3x3 to a 4x4 arrangement, allowing for more apps to be displayed. The number of apps that a folder can hold has increased from the previous 135 to the current 240, making it easier to view.

6.Selfies and screenshots now have separate folders

The "Selfies" folder aggregates all the photos taken with the front camera, and the "Screenshots" folder contains all the screenshots taken with the power button and home button. Although this is only a small improvement, it is indeed a lot more convenient for users.

7. Music Family Sharing returns

The Music Family Sharing feature that was removed in iOS 8.4 is back.

8. Keyboard changes

The Shift function has been redesigned to let users easily decide when Caps Lock is active. Press Shift to display all letters in uppercase on the keyboard. Turn Shift off to display all letters in lowercase. On iPad, iOS 9 provides new editing controls and a two-finger gesture that turns the keyboard into a trackpad.

9.Handoff

The Handoff feature in the App Switcher has been moved to the bottom of the app switching page, and users open the app by pulling out the new Handoff bar. Previously, the Handoff feature was displayed in a carousel. In iOS 9, the Handoff feature that displayed App Store apps on the lock screen based on a specific location has been removed, but installed apps will still be displayed.
