iTunes cannot verify the server? Try this solution

After the release of iOS 10, many users encountered problems when reflashing their Mac devices through DFU mode or iTunes.

After iOS 10 was released, many users tried to re-flash their Mac devices through DFU mode or iTunes. However, some issues occurred, such as iTunes being unable to verify the identity of the server "s.mzstatic.com", iTunes being unable to connect to the update server, and the server certificate being invalid.

Recently, Fengyou kevix21 shared a method to solve the above problems. He said that the reason for these problems is that the domestic DNS service provider hijacked s.mzstatic.com. You only need to modify the Hosts file and re-add the correct IP.

1. Open the Finder application in the Mac system, then press the combination key Shift + Command + G, and enter the path of the Hosts file: /etc/hosts, then you can see the Hosts file in the Finder window.

2. Next, we can copy the Hosts file to the desktop or other locations and then modify it. After editing, save it, and then drag it back to the original folder to replace the original file.

The following is the content of the Hosts file that can be used normally after modification:
