The world's largest third-party Android system LineageOS announced that it would stop maintaining 30 models

The name LineageOS may be unfamiliar to everyone, but when it comes to CyanogenMod, the originator of Android's third-party customized ROM, I believe that anyone who knows a little about flashing has heard of it. LineageOS is the spiritual sequel of the reorganized CyanogenMod team. It is also the largest open source Android project in the world. It has always attracted the attention of mobile phone players for supporting almost all conceivable old models.

However, recently, Lineage believes that the quality of its projects has gradually begun to be inferior to the quantity, and therefore has put forward stricter requirements for system maintainers in the adaptation of Oreo (15.1). Now Lineage is abandoning support for 30 mobile phones and tablets that have not been maintained for a long time.

Lineage officially announced that unless the maintainers (people who port ROMs to mobile phones) register the project regularly, it will no longer support ROM maintenance work for the corresponding models. Fortunately, most of the abandoned models are "old" and do not have much impact on flashing enthusiasts.

It is worth mentioning that 22,000 Redmi Note 3 users and 8,000 OnePlus X users were also abandoned .
