Shenzhen Airport recently launched a full-process luggage tracking service, allowing you to know where your luggage is and how long it will take.
Starting from September 10, passengers on the Shenzhen-Shanghai Hongqiao flights operated by China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines can check the transportation status of their checked baggage in real time after completing the baggage check-in procedures. After the service is launched, it is expected that more than 2,000 passengers will try it out every day. Both the "Shenzhen Airport" and "China Eastern Airlines" WeChat mini-programs can support real-time query of the transportation status of checked baggage. Shenzhen Airport said that it will work with other airlines to gradually launch more routes that support RFID baggage location tracking and continuously expand the service coverage.
RFID is radio frequency identification technology, which is considered to be one of the most promising information technologies in the 21st century. However, the RFID identification chip is essential for the baggage tracking process. Before using the mini program to track your baggage, the airport ground service staff will attach an RFID baggage tag to your baggage. In this way, the subsequent baggage consignment, sorting, loading, loading and arrival can be sensed and matched in real time, so that people and bags can be quickly matched, information can be transmitted in seconds, and the whole process of baggage positioning and tracking can be realized. Baggage check-in and baggage collection are only part of the flight process. The rest include offline steps such as ticketing and security checks. The "Civil Aviation Temporary Boarding Certificate" mini program launched on the same day can help users who forget to bring or lose their ID cards to conduct "real-person identity verification" and efficiently issue temporary boarding certificates, further promoting the process of "paperless" and convenient travel for civil aviation passengers.
Frequent flyers may have four or five airline apps installed on their phones, but for those who only fly once every three or four months, installing so many apps is a waste of resources. Mini programs are a better choice for these low- and medium-frequency users. China Southern Airlines regards mini programs as a means to improve passengers' offline service experience:
