According to domestic media reports, the China Construction Bank App has launched a digital currency personal wallet, which users can activate by binding their bank cards.

After investigation, it was found that searching for "digital currency" in the CCB App would result in two submenus: "digital wallet recharge" and "digital currency" . However, when clicking on "digital currency", the page displayed "this function has not yet been officially provided to the public, please stay tuned."

It is reported that this function is currently only available in some test areas .

Judging from the exposed screenshots, CCB’s digital currency wallet supports functions such as payment, collection, scanning, and transfer, which is similar to WeChat change .

According to reports, starting from April this year, the salaries and subsidies of some government agencies and institutions in Shenzhen, Xiong'an, Chengdu and Suzhou have been issued in digital currency . In addition, digital currency can also be used for shopping in Xiong'an New Area, but a POS machine dedicated to swiping digital currency is required.

On August 14, the Ministry of Commerce issued the "Overall Plan for Comprehensively Deepening the Pilot Program for Innovation and Development of Service Trade", which clearly proposed to carry out the digital RMB pilot program in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and central and western pilot areas with conditions.

The plan proposes that the People's Bank of China will formulate policy guarantee measures for the digital RMB pilot, which will first be promoted with assistance from Shenzhen, Chengdu, Suzhou, Xiongan New Area and other places and relevant departments of the future Winter Olympics scenarios, and will be expanded to other regions as appropriate.

According to previous media reports, the four major banks, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, and China Construction Bank, have all been internally testing the "digital RMB" e-wallet. Considering factors such as system load, it is still in the internal testing stage and has not yet been widely promoted .
