In addition, the National Healthcare Security Administration has launched a national electronic healthcare certificate system, and citizens in pilot areas can apply for and use it through WeChat.

At present, citizens in Jilin Province, Fujian Province, and cities such as Handan, Langfang, Harbin, Suihua, Jinan, Qingdao, Zibo, and Liaocheng can activate the medical insurance electronic certificate by entering the WeChat city service through the medical insurance category under the five social insurances and one housing fund (visible in areas where medical insurance electronic certificates are supported).

Some hospitals also allow users to top up and pay bills, view test results, view registration history, view historical prescriptions, pay bills for inpatients, view inpatient daily checklists, evaluate medical services, and more.
