China Passenger Car Association: China's global auto market share will rise to 41% in December 2024, a record high

According to recent news, the latest data released by the Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association shows that China's automobile sales share continues to rise as the domestic auto market gradually returns to normal and exports perform quite strongly.

Specifically, the Chinese auto market gradually recovered in March and April 2024. In May and June, China's share of the global auto market reached 33%, the same as in previous years. Since August, the auto market has been booming.

In December 2024, China's auto market sales share reached a remarkable 41%, successfully reaching a historical high in world share and becoming a major focus of the global auto market.

From a global perspective, the recovery of the Chinese auto market in 2024 is strong. Among many automakers, BYD, Chery Automobile, Geely Automobile and Changan Automobile have seen particularly significant recovery.

It is worth mentioning that in the ranking of the world's top 10 automakers this year, only two Chinese automakers achieved an increase in market share.

Among them, BYD performed particularly well, jumping to the fourth place in the world in the fourth quarter; Geely Auto ranked ninth , winning more attention for Chinese auto companies on the world stage.
