When beauty pageants fail to capture people's attention, "ugliest dog" contests have emerged. Recently, in the "World's Ugliest Dog" competition held in California, USA, a Boxer-Beagle mix named Walle defeated 29 other contestants to win the title.

Four-year-old Val has a large head but four short legs like duck feet. Judges described its waddling gait as unforgettable. Its overwhelming advantage in winning the competition lay in its bald body and crested head. Val won a $1,500 prize and will appear on a television network next week.
Besides, the other dogs participating in the competition also displayed their quirky antics and unique skills. The organizers said, "This was originally a small local competition, but it went on much faster than anyone expected. We judged the dogs based on their pedigree and breed, hoping to raise awareness and encourage people to care for them."
