The inclusion of Xiaohongshu notes has always been the focus of everyone’s attention. Why is inclusion so important? Because the core traffic of Xiaohongshu is waterfall flow recommendation, and the discovery page is the core traffic of the Xiaohongshu account, it is difficult to become a popular article without the discovery page traffic. Generally speaking, the peak traffic period is within 72 hours after a note is published. For a normal account, the homepage recommended traffic accounts for more than 50%. When a note has no recommended traffic, as shown in Figure 2, when a note is not recommended, it is highly likely that it will be difficult to get likes and comments, and the note will only be ranked behind keyword searches. Figure 1: Source of normal note traffic Figure 2: No homepage recommendation traffic Specifically, how to get your notes included, recommended by the platform, and ranked ahead of the keywords in keyword search, we start from three aspects: the definition of inclusion, the reasons for not being included, and the methods to improve inclusion. 1. Definition of inclusionTo put it simply, the published notes can be found by searching for keywords in the notes. There are two main methods for detection. The first method is to search for notes by keywords, search with multiple people to see if the notes can be found, or search for the first sentence of the notes. If it is included, the notes will be found. For topic collection, you can click on the topic you added to see if there are any notes of yours in it. It is recommended to check whether the note has been included 48 hours after it was published. The inclusion includes keywords and topics, because the Xiaohongshu system also has delays. The second method is to click on data analysis within 48 hours to see the traffic source and the proportion of recommended traffic on the homepage. If there is no recommended traffic as shown in Figure 2, it is highly likely that it has not been included. Secondly, after 7 days, look at the proportion of search data. If it exceeds 10%, it can also reflect that the notes can be searched by users. 2. Reasons for Not InclusionThere are two aspects to self-examine if the account is not included. The first is the account, and the second is the note level. The account is the foundation. When an account is restricted, all notes posted afterwards will be in vain. As shown in the picture, clothing customers were previously directed to WeChat. As the platform controls private message traffic, the account also faces traffic restrictions, and the number of likes and comments on the notes posted is in the single digit, which is seriously inconsistent with the account of nearly 12,000 followers. Account levelIf an account violates regulations and receives violation reminders from the background, or previous notes or account violation reminders, the entire account will be restricted or even blocked, and the posted notes will naturally not be included. Especially within the past month of a major violation, the account and notes will have almost no chance of being displayed. Mobile devices have been blacklisted. Some second-hand customers use one mobile phone to log in to multiple accounts, and there is a risk of selling counterfeit goods in the accounts, so the devices will naturally be at risk of being restricted. The posting frequency is too high, with more than 10 notes a day and repeated pictures and texts. The account is judged to be plagiarized. It is recommended to post 2-3 articles a day, at different time periods. 2. Note level1) Poor note quality Such as freckle removal, the positive and negative aspects of acne skin, cover superstition, medical beauty, Tik Tok watermark, etc., these all belong to the level of note violations. 2) Notes are suspected of marketing If an account receives too many advertisements without writing a statement of interest and chooses to post content directly many times, it will be judged as a marketing account. Accounts with a high degree of commercialization face a greater probability of not being included. There are a lot of terms that are suspected to be advertisements in the notes. It is not advisable to introduce only one product in a note or to pile up a lot of keywords in the article. Brands are likely to encounter a problem when they are promoting amateur notes. For example, if a brand did not have many notes on Xiaohongshu before, and the brand suddenly increases its popularity and the number of notes increases to dozens every day, the brand-related notes will easily be identified as promotional notes, and it will also easily trigger the brand deduction mechanism. In order to avoid such problems, the platform will set a maximum content pool. Suppose the clothing category is set to include an upper limit of 5,000 articles. When you take notes, and they are of the same type and not creative enough, you will also face the risk of not being included. For example, the notes posted by Diaidi Lahai are very popular now, and everyone is imitating them. When there are more and more such notes in the entire site, it will have a great impact on the entire community ecology, and will naturally reduce the recommendation of such duplicate notes. 4) Non-original notes Copying or plagiarizing notes with watermarks will also be considered violations by the platform. As a sharing community, Xiaohongshu insists on pushing original notes. 5) Modify notes multiple times Try not to modify the notes after they are published. Modifications to the notes will trigger review again, and the second review may easily result in throttling or even loss of inclusion. 3. Improve the inclusion of Xiaohongshu1. OriginalityOriginality is the core value of the Xiaohongshu community. The most important principle of the community is order. Only originality can make the entire ecosystem grow. The platform also encourages sincere sharing. Users like to read original high-quality notes, and the platform is willing to recommend them, so the probability of inclusion is high. 2. Keyword layoutEmbed keywords in the title and text as much as possible. The first layer is brand words. Each note should insert brand keywords in the title, text, tags and even comments. The second layer is category demand words. For example, if we are selling lotion and implant the keyword lotion, the competition is too fierce and the display probability is small. We should be more vertically refined, such as affordable lotion, lotion recommendation for oily skin, and lotion recommendation for oily skin during the Spring Festival, to seize the long-tail words and gain traffic. 3. Provide timely feedbackIf it is still not included after resending, you can provide feedback. First, take a screenshot of the problem notes, then go to the Xiaohongshu app - Me - Help and Customer Service in the upper left corner - Feedback - Photograph and Publish - Notes cannot be searched, so others cannot see them. Finally, submit and wait for feedback. The above are some of the reasons and self-examination methods for violations. For those that are not included, please stay relaxed. I have seen many customers who are particularly anxious when they see that their notes are not included. In fact, there is no need to be anxious. First think about whether there are any problems that you have not been aware of and make active adjustments.
