Cocos Studio launches new features to speed up development efficiency

Cocos Studio 2.0 was released at the Cocos 2014 Developer Autumn Conference on October 28. In the past six weeks, Cocos Studio 2.0 has accumulated more than 70,000 developers, of which 80% are Chinese developers, and they are mainly concentrated in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. It is understood that in the coming period, the Cocos Studio team will focus on several core points to speed up the opening efficiency.

Zhang Xiaolong shared the new features that Cocos Studio has launched and will launch soon. He said that all of these will be centered around accelerating development efficiency. Developers can use Cocos products to optimize product experience, add practical functions, improve efficiency, and integrate workflows. New features of Cocos:

1. UI editing: Launch the UI layout of the entire line, make UI components and function callbacks in the nine-square grid;

2. Animation editing: open up the ability to quickly create sequence frames; animation list configuration, add a drop-down list to the entire animation editing area, and you can freely edit from a certain frame to a certain frame; animation frame rate setting; embedded set animation playback;

3. Efficiency improvement: The exported data is optimized and the parsing speed is 30 times that of the previous 2.0 version.

Cocos Studio is integrated into Cocos

Zhang Xiaolong said: "In the next period of time, our Cocos Studio will be integrated into Cocos, including all the tool framework engines that cooperate with Cocos Studio will be integrated into Cocos products." He said that the Cocos workflow will be optimized in the near future:

1. Cocos Studio, as the entry point for editing games, will create work items to reduce developers' time costs;

2. Optimize the interaction between Cocos Studio and Coding. When working in EIDE, you can directly embed code or modify it directly. In the future, we will continue to launch spaces, so that you can directly double-click to enter the IDE for programming or content editing;

3. Launched a new moderator and developed a new UV version, which can be debugged remotely, and the debugging information in the entire IDE can be displayed at the same time;

Zhang Xiaolong announced the Cocos Studio V2.1 open plan: first, open the API of Cocos Studio; second, open the product system, which will support LW and JS; third, integrate a large number of third-party tools. The functions opened in the first phase of the Cocos Studio open plan mainly include: custom plug-in extensions, custom control extensions, custom property extensions, data export interfaces, and animation properties. In terms of third-party tool integration, many professional tools in the industry have been integrated, such as llan, Spine, PS, FL, etc. At the same time, we also cooperate with tool manufacturers to integrate the tools into the Cocos store for developers to download.
