I don't believe you can use these Mac system shortcut keys

The 12-inch MacBook is about to be launched. This thin and cool notebook will surely attract many PC users to the Mac camp. Shortcut keys play an important role in the daily use of Mac and improve the operation efficiency. Today, I will tell new friends who are about to join the Mac family about the commonly used shortcut keys based on my own usage habits.

Of course, some of the readers of this article may be old Mac users or experts. I will just briefly mention the well-known Mac shortcuts and introduce more commonly used and less familiar shortcuts.

There are four main modifier keys in Mac, namely Command, Control, Option and Shift. These four keys have their own patterns, and they often appear in the menu bar of Mac applications, so you can learn new shortcuts at any time.

Basic shortcut keys

Command-X CutCommand-X Cut

Command is the most important modifier key in Mac, which is equivalent to Ctrl in Windows in most cases. So the following basic operations are easy to understand:

Command-Shift-4 Command-Shift-4 Capture the selected screen area to a file

Command-Shift-3 Capture the entire screen to a file

Command-Shift-Control-3 Capture the entire screen to the clipboard

Command-Shift-4 to capture the selected screen area to a file, or press the Spacebar to capture just one window

Command-Shift-Control-4 to capture the selected screen area to the clipboard, or press the spacebar to capture just one window

Mac startup and shutdown

Command-Option-PR Reset NVRAM Command-Option-PR Reset NVRAM

Option Press immediately after booting up the computer to display the startup manager. If your Mac has dual systems or a startup USB drive is plugged in, you can select the startup disk in the startup manager.

Command-R Press immediately after booting to open the Recovery function of OS X

Press Command-Option-PR immediately after powering on your computer to reset the NVRAM. Sometimes your computer has minor problems, and resetting the NVRAM is your best option besides restarting to try to fix it.

Command-Option-Control-Power button Quit all applications, allow you to save documents, then shut down

Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to force your Mac to shut down

In the application

Command-Option-esc Force Quit Command-Option-esc Open the Force Quit window

Command-H Hide the currently running application window

Command-Option-H Hide other application windows

Command-Q Quit the frontmost application

Command-Shift-Z Redo, the reverse of Undo

Command-Tab Go to the next most recently used application in the list of open applications, equivalent to (Alt+Tab) in Windows

Command-Option-esc Open the Force Quit window. If an application is unresponsive, select Force Quit in the window list.

Text Processing

Command-Right Arrow Move the cursor to the end of the current line Command-Right Arrow Move the cursor to the end of the current line

Command-B Toggle selected text bold

fn-Delete is equivalent to the Delete on a full-size PC keyboard, that is, to delete backwards

fn-Up Arrow Scroll up one page (Page Up)

fn-Down Arrow Scroll down one page (Page Down)

fn-Left Arrow Scroll to beginning of document (Home)

fn-right arrow scroll to end of document (End)

Command-Right Arrow Move the cursor to the end of the current line

Command-Left Arrow Move the cursor to the beginning of the current line

Command-Down Arrow Move cursor to the end of the document

Command-Up Arrow Move cursor to beginning of document

Option-Right Arrow moves the cursor to the end of the next word

Option-Left Arrow Move the cursor to the beginning of the previous word

Control-A Move to the beginning of a line or paragraph

In Finder

Command-Option-V Cut File Command-Option-V Cut File

Command-Shift-N New Folder

Command-Shift-G brings up a window where you can enter an absolute path to a folder (Go)

return This is not actually a shortcut key. Click on the file and press it to rename the file.

Command-O opens the selected item. Opening files on a Mac is not like pressing Enter in Windows.

Command-Option-V is equivalent to cutting files in Windows. Copy the file (Command-C) at another location, and press this shortcut key at the destination location, and the file will be cut to this location.

Command-Up Arrow Open the folder that contains the current folder, equivalent to "Up" in Windows

Command-Delete Move the file to the Trash Command-Shift-Delete Empty the Trash

The space bar quickly views the selected file, which is the preview function.

In the browser

Control-Tab Go to the next tab Control-Tab Go to the next tab

Command-L The cursor jumps directly to the address bar

Control-Tab Go to the next tab

Control-Shift-Tab Go to the previous tab

Command-Plus or Equal Sign to Enlarge the Page

Command-Minus Sign to shrink the page

The MacBook's trackpad plus many practical shortcut keys will make you feel that the Mac system is very efficient. The above are the shortcut keys I often use. Maybe you can't remember them after reading them once. It doesn't matter. Save this article and use them slowly according to your needs while getting familiar with Mac. Then you will remember them all.
