In the major version WeChat for 8.0 released at the beginning of the year, WeChat introduced the friend status function from its big brother QQ into WeChat, providing nearly 30 default status labels including "Happy", "Cracked", "Hahaha", "Moving Bricks", "Exercise", etc., and you can also customize labels. Once a friend sets a status label, you can see her status in the friend list, chat page, and friend's personal homepage. In this updated WeChat for iOS 8.0.4 version, you can view the status of your friends in a centralized manner. On the right side of the "Status" option in the "Me" page, there is an additional "..." option. Click it to view all contacts with set status.

The progress bar of the Moments video can be dragged

Moments videos have always been a point of complaint, and the experience is too bad. There are two main reasons. One is that the length of the video is limited, and the other is that it does not support dragging the progress bar. You have to start over every time you enter. In the previous version, WeChat increased the video length from 15 seconds to 30 seconds, and the operation method is still the same as before. In this updated version, dragging the progress bar is finally supported. But it should be noted that after some testing, I found that not all videos support dragging the progress bar. It seems that there is still a length limit. Moments videos shorter than 15 seconds cannot be dragged.

Change the color of "Mark as Unread"

On the WeChat homepage, swiping right on a chat window will bring up three chat settings: "Mark as Unread," "Hide," and "Delete." Previously, the "Mark as Unread" function button was gray, but in the latest WeChat for iOS 8.0.4 version, it has been changed to blue, making it more visually conspicuous.
