A brief talk about APP operation: a few things you must know

No matter it is App operation or promotion, the work of Apple Software Park is nothing more than focusing on the six words "attracting new users, retaining existing users, and promoting activation". This is also the only indicator that your boss uses to evaluate you. Among these three links, attracting new users may be the indicator that your boss values the most. The relationship between the three: attracting new customers is the prerequisite for retention, retention is the basis for activation, and activation is the goal of attracting new customers. In the eyes of many people, everyone thinks that attracting new users is the most important thing. In fact, this also depends on what stage your APP has reached. If the APP is just starting out, it is particularly important to attract new users. If the number of new APP users has reached a certain level, retention is what you must do now. After completing the first two stages, don't be proud or overconfident. At this time, find ways to promote vitality. The most common way to promote activity is through small online activities or interactions with users, which give users a sense of participation, or to put it bluntly, a sense of presence (except for social apps). This comes in handy if there is a community in the APP. The above six words are too easy to say, but when you put them into practice, don't cry and don't be discouraged. Next, I will talk about some of my insights into this industry over the past few months. Please don’t criticize me if you don’t agree with me. It's not easy for any of us, so don't hurt each other. 1. Don’t complain that your company is not rich enough. We often hear things like: our company is crappy, the boss is too stingy, how can I promote the APP without money... There are too many complaints like this, and I actually understand them. These complaints will not bring any quantitative growth to your work. Instead, they will make you more and more negative, and even make you doubt whether you have chosen the wrong career. If you are a beginner, this is normal. If you have been in the industry for a few months and still have this kind of thinking, you must find a way to suppress your negativity and remind yourself that everything will be fine. Or you are really not suitable for development in this industry. If you look at it from a different perspective, maybe you will be able to figure it out. The boss is also a businessman, and businessmen value profits. When the APP does not improve or make a profit, the boss has the right to refuse your request for funding for promotion activities. There is no company that is stingy. Don’t say that the boss is short-sighted. If you were the boss, there is an 80% chance that you would also refuse in the same way. Sometimes your boss refuses you because of your own faults, as you did not convey to him a certain level of confidence or ability. Work hard, don't be negative, and the funds will come to you. 2. Even if your APP product is a piece of shit, you have to enjoy it. I heard this from an operator before. I think that's it. You should be prepared for this when you choose this job. No job can be smooth sailing. Only after experiencing bad things can you know what is good. Only after going through the worst will you encounter the best around the corner. The development of a product from scratch to maturity is a process. And you happen to be in the stage where the product is created from scratch. Understand the product and strive to improve it in the next version. Shit tastes bad, life is harder, and you can learn more by swimming upstream. Having said that, I have never seen anyone's product be as bad as shit. The boss won't allow it. If your products can be launched in major markets, it means that your products still have great value. 3. Maintain good relationships with products, design, development, and promotion. It's the end of the year again. What is your year-end bonus? Car, claw machine, money, or nothing? This actually has something to do with you. You can be said to be grasshoppers on the same string. If you work independently and don't consider each other, then your product will definitely be a failure. Treat each other as family and tell the person in charge if you have any suggestions or ideas. Don't think that it will hurt the harmony. That means you haven't truly integrated into this family. The quality of an APP product is largely determined by the communication between you. We all know that many hands make light work, but we often overlook the fact that good products are born from communication among the people. One person can't hold up the sky. Don't isolate yourself, and don't isolate others. Don’t think that you are just an operator and all you need to do is take care of the snow in front of your door. If you think like this, you deserve that your monthly salary is not even half of what others get. Remember, communicate, cooperate, and share honor and disgrace. 4. Reflect on yourself and don’t try to put all your responsibilities on the poor product. Your sophistry is actually your failure as a human being. The greatest weakness of human beings is self-perfectionism. Escaping, not daring to look at oneself, always thinking that one is a genius and others are pigs. This caused tension among colleagues and eventually I couldn't stay in the company anymore. As a human being, you should try to reflect on yourself in everything. What have I done this month, what have I forgotten to do, what aspects of my work need to be improved, and how can I do better in the future. Reflect on yourself more, maybe you can lose a few pounds. In short, after saying so much, I hope it can be of some help to those who have just joined this industry or are confused about this industry.
