Last night, Tmall held a press conference for the "2018 Double 11 Global Carnival" in Beijing.

Alibaba Group CEO Daniel Zhang said at the press conference:

"Ten years ago, Tmall's 'Double 11' was just a big promotion, but now it has become a commercial parade across China. I call it the 'Olympics of commerce.'"

In 2009, Alibaba launched the first year of “ Double Eleven ”, with a transaction volume of 52 million. Last year, transaction volume soared to 168.2 billion. This year marks the tenth year of “Double 11”. What new tricks does Alibaba have? Are you ready?

01 What is the process of “Double 11” this year?

This year, Tmall prepared the "Double 11 Action Calendar" early, arranging everyone's shopping schedule from October 20 to November 12, a total of 24 days.

From this calendar alone, we can see that the core gameplay of this year's "Double 11" is still shopping allowances, shopping coupons, and red envelopes, interspersed with some other activities, such as activities in Alibaba apps and offline scenarios, and Xianyu recycling benefits.

Because last year's "deposit inflation" and other gameplay were overly complicated, many "shopping addicts" scratched their heads and struggled for most of the time, and the shopping experience was somewhat unpleasant.

So this year, Tmall's "Double 11" learned from last year's lessons and not only made the gameplay simpler, but also specially released an introduction to the gameplay.

At first glance, it seems that Tmall operators have worked hard to make the majority of "shopping addicts" happy shopping.

1) Partner

The first is the partner gameplay, which is actually an upgraded version of the “Torch Red Packet” on Double Eleven last year.
