According to the latest news released by the Shanghai Epidemic Prevention and Control Office, entry and exit of residential areas and public transportation will be restored in an orderly manner from 0:00 on June 1. This is good news for outsiders who want to return home. So if Shanghai is unsealed, do they need to be quarantined when they return to their hometown? Do I need to be quarantined when traveling to other places after the lockdown is lifted? 1. Do I need to be quarantined if I return to my hometown after Shanghai is lifted from lockdown in 2022? Now that Shanghai has fully lifted the lockdown, there is no need for quarantine when returning to your hometown. However, according to the current situation in Shanghai, the blockade has not been completely lifted, but a notice has been issued to restore normal operations in an orderly manner. Strict epidemic prevention measures will also be implemented for residents in medium- and high-risk areas, closed-off areas, controlled areas, and prevention areas, and residents of the affected communities cannot be unsealed yet. Due to the severe local epidemic situation in Shanhai this time, anyone returning to their hometown needs to be quarantined before the full lockdown. Recently, I also saw a short video interview with non-local residents in the Shanghai Daily on the Internet. It reported that when some passenger trains were resumed at Hongqiao, some people took several days to get tickets. But because it is far from the train station and transportation is inconvenient, some people even have to walk for seven or eight hours or ride bicycles. I can only say that it is really difficult. If you have not experienced it, you can’t imagine how they got through. In addition, leaving Shanghai and returning to your hometown will definitely require quarantine, and the specific duration of quarantine is not uniform across provinces and cities. Some places require 7 days of centralized isolation plus 7 days of home isolation; some places require 10 days of centralized isolation plus 4 days of home isolation; some places require 14 days of home isolation plus 7 days of home isolation; and some very few areas even require 14 days of centralized isolation plus 14 days of home isolation. Although policies vary from place to place, there is a high probability that quarantine will still be required. 2. Do you still need to be quarantined when traveling to other places after Shanghai is lifted from lockdown? After Shanghai is lifted from lockdown, there is no need for quarantine when traveling to other places, but the prerequisite is that Shanghai is fully lifted from lockdown. However, since the epidemic prevention policies in different places are different, the epidemic prevention policies of the destinations to be arrived at after Shanghai is lifted from the lockdown are also different. It is recommended that you consult before going to your destination to avoid delays. 1. After Shanghai is unsealed, you need to be quarantined when going to Changsha: All people coming to (or returning to) Changsha from provinces with reported local cases must hold a 48-hour negative nucleic acid test certificate upon entering Changsha, and undergo another nucleic acid test after landing. It is recommended to undergo another nucleic acid test on the 7th day. 2. After Shanghai is unsealed, people going to Wuhan need to be quarantined: For those who come to or return to Hubei with a travel history in medium- or high-risk areas in the country, 7 days of centralized isolation and 7 days of home health monitoring will be implemented until 14 days have passed since they left the area. Once the medium and high-risk areas are lifted, the isolation measures will be automatically lifted. 3. After Shanghai is unsealed, you need to be quarantined when going to Hefei: For people coming to Hefei from medium- and high-risk areas, they will be classified and subject to 48-hour nucleic acid testing, centralized isolation, and home health monitoring. 4. After Shanghai is unsealed, you need to be quarantined when going to Fuzhou: People coming to Fuzhou from high-risk areas will be subject to 14 days of centralized medical observation; people coming to Fuzhou from medium-risk areas will be subject to 14 days of home observation; people coming to Fuzhou from outside the province must hold a 48-hour nucleic acid negative certificate and undergo a nucleic acid test within 24 hours of arrival. In general, if Shanghai is unsealed, you will still need to be quarantined if you return to your hometown, but once Shanghai is fully unsealed and there are no medium or high risks, you will not need to be quarantined if you return home. After Shanghai is fully unsealed, there is no need to be quarantined when traveling to other places. You only need to show a negative nucleic acid test certificate. |
