Original title: "Xinhua News Agency Authoritative Express | China's first Mars exploration global image map released" On April 24, at the launch ceremony of the 2023 "China Space Day" main event, the National Space Administration and the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly released China's first global image map of Mars. The images released this time are in color, including orthographic projection maps of the eastern and western hemispheres of Mars, Robinson projection maps, and Mercator projection plus azimuthal projection maps made according to mapping standards. The spatial resolution is 76 meters, which will provide a better quality basic base map for Mars exploration projects and Mars scientific research. A batch of scientific exploration data, including images, obtained by the Tianwen-1 mission will make China's contribution to mankind's in-depth understanding of Mars.
