Ant Vision Qin Zheng: Smart glasses are the ultimate form of VR helmets
According to the news, iQIYI VR Summit was successfully held in Shangfang Garden on the afternoon of July 26. A special report was conducted on this event.
At the summit, AntVision CEO Qin Zheng delivered a speech, introducing AntVision Technology’s layout in software, hardware and content.
In terms of hardware, AntVision has proposed a minimalist solution of using the mobile phone headphone cable for control; in terms of software, AntVision provides a new split-screen browser; in terms of content, AntVision hopes to establish its own ecosystem by investing in mobile game companies.

Hello everyone, I am very happy to be here today. This is my second time here. The last time I came was also a VR gathering, but there were not many people. I think there are a lot of people this time, and I am very excited. Today I am very happy to have this opportunity to share our Ant Vision here, how to explore and finance in VR, and our deep thinking on VR. First of all, I would like to introduce Ant Vision to you. Ant Vision was born in Beijing Maker Space. We did crowdfunding in the United States in May 2014 and raised 260,000 US dollars, breaking the record of crowdfunding for Chinese projects. We received a round A investment from Sequoia Capital in August 2014. In 2015, we participated in the American Game Show in Los Angeles last month and released our latest technology and cutting-edge games at the game show. This is our Ant Vision helmet. We are the world's first mass-produced helmet. I have a set that can provide you with a completely sedimented experience software.

This is a demonstration of our players using our helmets and motion sensing equipment at the exhibition. The head and here can be separated to engage in fighting. This game is called Unreal Combat, and we conducted an internal test in China in September.
The second video is a benefit prepared for everyone. It is the content shot by a VR camera. We produce a VR camera ourselves, and its shape can be shown to everyone in the PPT. This is the panoramic content shot by our VR camera, which can be viewed through a VR helmet.
This is the location tracking system we released. The ground tracking points allow users to actually walk in the ground space.
This is our VR camera. We are the world's first virtual reality device for ordinary C-end users. Users can shoot and share their own vision with everyone in the world. The video just now was shot by a VR camera. This is our holographic deck position tracking system, and you can see its demonstration. The top is for mobile games. I mainly want to share with you the story of mobile games and our thoughts on mobile games. The Ant Vision helmet in front is a device for watching movies. It will develop two to three games every year. For online games, we also have mobile game devices. This mobile helmet is our world's first foldable mobile helmet. We have several features to share with you. It is compatible with mobile phones from 4.5 inches to 6 inches, both Android and Apple. It is a foldable helmet with very thin activity, so you can carry it with you and use it at any time. This is an original design. The third part is compatibility with users of glasses. Many players on the scene wear glasses. The compatibility of glasses depends on the friendliness of a device. Our device can be connected to glasses in terms of optics. Our weight is the latest helmet in the world. We use Ant Vision's original inorganic optical solution to make it compatible with ordinary video resources and game resources.
Another thoughtful thing is that the helmet is open on both sides, allowing users to interact directly by inserting their fingers into the video, protecting the touch screen functions of the phone, so that it will not become a useless device in the end. Speaking of interaction, we have seen that Google has given a good example. Its thinking has made us realize that we actually use the phone itself more for interaction. VR helmets, whether the phone is equipped with a Bluetooth controller for interaction.
Below are the following videos. These videos were recorded by us at the company yesterday. They are videos of racing games. We use the camera of a mobile phone to track the picture on the packaging box so that we can use it to control it. The direction of the packaging box is synchronized with the direction of the screen, and we can interact with racing games. You can see this real application. Use this picture and the user's finger to touch the game screen. There is a football field. You can kick the football with your finger and interact with the players. You can touch the buttons on the screen to interact with the game again. This is our tracking. In the game, we can have a virtual pistol. Take our control stick. This is virtual button touch. Touch the buttons on the packaging box and interact with the virtual character. This is an area where we think the camera must be used. It can be used for more virtual reality interactions.
This is the ultimate killer interaction method of virtual reality that we, Yishi, officially proposed in public today. Using the mobile phone earphones to control the volume, we can block the three functions of volume up, volume down and playback pause and control the characters in the game. This is our answer to whether virtual reality needs a Bluetooth controller that needs to be charged from time to time. In virtual reality, our head can provide enough freedom for users to choose. Many times all we need is a confirmation, to confirm after seeing an object. Many times we only need one key to confirm or fire a bullet. Sometimes we need to move, we need to move forward and backward, so we think three keys are actually enough. The three-key solution we have made now can just meet the needs of all users and is compatible with both Apple and Android. This product is a controller we directly deliver to all users, and you can buy it home and use it yourself. If you don’t use this controller, you can use your own headphones. Each headset has buttons on it, and all games and all players can be adapted. This is our idea of ​​the ultimate interaction method for virtual reality.
I think that if you really use your brain, you can come up with very simple and silly ideas. It's like astronauts didn't think of how to write in space, but a primary school student came up with the idea of ​​using a pencil. This controller, this wired controller, is given away for free in the Ant Vision mobile phone helmet. It has several important features. The first is good compatibility, compatible with all mobile phones. The second is that it doesn't need to be charged. The third is that it is very portable. It's a wired one like a headset. The fourth is that it can meet the needs of other games.
Next, I will talk about some software aspects. This is one aspect of the software layout of our Ant View. Our Ant View browser was tested on the official website some time ago. It is the world's first split-screen browser, which is compatible with all video websites, including iQiyi. The CEO of iQiyi just mentioned that we oppose hotlinking. We are just ordinary for any website. We can bring all the advertisements. When watching iQiyi on our website, you can watch all the videos. We think this is respect for all copyright holders. The most fundamental thing for us to do virtual reality is to respect copyright. So what we do is a browser-based solution.
This browser will be built into the Yishi VR platform. The VR platform looks like this. This is our VR platform. There are three parts of content. The first part is VR games. The first section contains VR games. We have included existing free games in VR games. We hope that many developers will cooperate with us to develop more games. We have a profit-sharing system and show some flows to many developers through the smart system. The second part is the display part, which is the recommendation of the day or the homepage recommendation. When we open the Yishi browser to watch, it is a completely 2D large-screen experience that can meet the application of many users. We believe that virtual reality still needs to meet some rigid needs of users in the early stage. We believe that video viewing, especially movies and TV series, is a reality. The third part is our scene, so that the helmet can be compatible with the content just shot by the VR phone.
I would like to share with you the mission of the entire AntVision team. First, we want to make virtual reality accessible to everyone. Second, we hope to start with games and eventually achieve all aspects. Third, our future goal is to make helmets that are increasingly thinner and lighter and eventually turn them into smart glasses. This is the vision of our company.
How can we, a small manufacturer, play? We, Yishi, are also a small manufacturer. We have struggled before. We followed the trend and made content video products that can be compared with those of large manufacturers. We can have a good shipment volume. We have thought about this before. Even Yishi proposed the concept of full compatibility, but we gave up and chose the second way. We built our own ecosystem. This road is very hard. How to take the hard route? We have now lowered a plan. We will invest in 10 mobile game companies before the end of this year. We have completed the investment in 2 companies. We will continue to invest in mobile games in the future. The investment is only to establish the first batch of basic VR developers. There are five investment criteria. The first is to have enough technology to do VR. The second is to have enough feelings to do this with us. The third is to have enough active thinking and come up with enough interactive methods. The fourth is to have your latest ideas in terms of interaction. The fifth is that we hope to have mature experience. We must have mature mobile game development experience in the past to generate enough returns in our ecosystem.
I believe that many developers have this quality, but they lack the understanding and love of VR. Now let you fall in love with VR. Our profit model will slowly replicate our success and eventually make our players earn enough profit. We have the most cost-effective helmet in the world. Second, we have top capital support to help us quickly find the A round for the game companies we invest in. Third, we can have the strongest technical support. We have the most leading technical system to help you support your games. Fourth, we can build a game ecosystem to help you capture users. Fifth, we have our own determination. We have two dreams.
