General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter at the first National Reading Conference: " I hope that children will develop reading habits, read happily, and grow up healthily ." The "National Science Literacy Action Plan Outline (2021-2035)" proposes that by 2035, the proportion of Chinese citizens with scientific literacy will reach 25%.
