At 9:10 am today (24th), Beijing issued an orange rainstorm warning : It is expected that from 17:00 on July 24 to 20:00 on July 25, most parts of the city will experience heavy rainfall with hourly rainfall exceeding 70 mm, the 6-hour rainfall in the western and northern mountainous areas and the eastern regions will exceed 100 mm, and the 24-hour rainfall in parts of Miyun, Huairou, Pinggu and Shunyi will exceed 150 mm. Secondary disasters such as mountain torrents, mudslides, and landslides induced by heavy rainfall may occur in mountainous and low-mountain areas, and water may accumulate in low-lying areas.

This precipitation process will last for a long time and is expected to last about 30 hours . The accumulated rainfall may reach heavy rain to torrential rain , with local heavy rainstorms in the west, northern mountainous areas and southeast.
