So how can they take the lead in the field of intelligence now? In 2014, home appliance giants turned their attention to "Internet thinking".

Smart products are flooding and homogenization is serious

As smart home appliances become a trend, intelligence has become a must-have label for modern home appliances. The surge in smart home appliances in the domestic market has also brought consumers many choices, but at present, the product functions of home appliance peers have become seriously homogenized. Often, powerful large companies innovate technology and launch new products, and small companies immediately imitate and follow up. Not only are the products similar, but it also hinders the overall development of the industry to a certain extent.

In recent years, the number of smart home appliances in the domestic market has increased dramatically. While this has brought consumers more choices, it has also made the homogenization of smart home appliances increasingly serious. After powerful large companies launch new products, some small companies immediately follow suit. These "copycat" products, which are similar in appearance but far behind in product quality and technological content, have hindered the development of the overall industry to a certain extent.

Integrate Internet thinking to transform and upgrade simultaneously

In 2014, many home appliance giants began to integrate Internet thinking to break the concept of traditional smart home appliances in order to achieve transformation and upgrading. Changhong and Meiling launched the CHiQ series of products based on home Internet. Qingdao Haier (14.39, 0.10, 0.70%) released the smart home platform U+ smart life operating system. Midea cooperated with Alibaba to create smart home platform products. TCL teamed up with iQiyi, Hisense and 11 Internet video companies to sign contracts. Home appliance giants have embraced the Internet and transformed and upgraded with Internet thinking, so that they can take the lead and take the initiative in the battle of smart home appliance upgrades.

Smart home system has a bright future

Smart home has entered a period of rapid growth in developed countries, while my country is basically in the initial stage, with a bright future. Relevant data show that the penetration rate of smart home in Europe and the United States exceeds 35%, Japan and South Korea exceeds 25%, while my country has not yet reached 5%. Industry insiders predict that by 2020, the ecological output value of smart home appliances will soar from 5 billion in 2010 to 1 trillion, and the market size of smart terminals will increase to 800 billion yuan. Smart home appliances still have huge market potential in the future.
