Trump cancels G7 summit, what's going on? G7 leaders switch to video conference

[Global Network Express Reporter Zhu Mengying] CNN just reported that White House spokesman Judd Deere announced on the 19th that Trump canceled the plan to hold the Group of Seven (G7) summit at Camp David in June this year and changed it to a video conference.

"In order for each country to focus all its efforts on responding to the health and economic challenges posed by the new coronavirus, and at the direction of President Trump, National Economic Council Director and U.S. Coordinator for the 2020 G7 Meeting, Larry Kudlow, has informed his counterparts that the G7 Leaders' Summit, originally scheduled to be held at Camp David in June this year, will now be held via video conference."

Deere added that Trump will also hold video conferences with (G7) leaders in April and May. According to him, Trump also held a video conference with G7 leaders earlier this week.
