Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing recently said that Lenovo will launch a new Motorola tablet computer after completing the acquisition of Motorola Mobility . It is understood that Lenovo will adopt a brand strategy in the tablet computer market.

Regarding the progress of Lenovo's acquisition of Motorola mobile phones, which has attracted much attention from the outside world, Yang Yuanqing pointed out that the acquisition is still waiting for the final approval of some governments, and he is very confident. Yang Yuanqing said that the original promise to complete the acquisition this year has not changed. "Of course I hope it will be as soon as possible, as early as possible, because IBM's X86 acquisition is more difficult, but it has already been completed. Therefore, I believe that the acquisition of Motorola will not be a big problem."

Yang Yuanqing also revealed that after the transaction is completed, two tablet computers will be released, which will be dual-branded. This means that one tablet will use the Motorola brand and the other will use the Lenovo brand. Obviously, Lenovo will also adopt a similar strategy in the smartphone market. However, Lenovo did not disclose any product details.

It is understood that Motorola released its own brand of tablet computers as early as 2011, namely DROID Xyboard 8.2 and DROID Xyboard 10.1, but their market performance was not good.
