When will wearable devices replace mobile phones?

When will wearable devices replace mobile phones?

There is no doubt that mobile phones are the current application hotspot, or the carrier that can carry various applications in the mobile Internet era. Wearable devices are no exception. Some current APP applications are implemented with the help of mobile phones.

Perhaps for this reason, some people think that wearable devices can only serve as ancillary products of mobile phones. This view cannot be said to be right or wrong, it can only be said to be a relative view at a certain stage. From today's perspective, since some target technologies in the industrial chain of wearable devices have not yet been commercialized, especially virtual reality technology has not yet fully matured, so the screen of the mobile phone or PC is used for display.

As virtual reality technology matures, future wearable devices will be displayed in any space, and can also be displayed with the help of arms. We can operate them anytime and anywhere in any space. Of course, virtual reality that integrates visual technology is more private in content display, and only displays to specific people and specific perspectives, unlike the current mobile phone screen or PC screen, anyone around can peek.

Once this technology is applied, mobile phones will be relegated to museums. I cannot give an exact time when wearable devices will replace mobile phones as the center of the world, but this day will come. Therefore, compared with wearable devices, mobile phones are just borrowing the screen of mobile phones at a time when the technology of the current industry chain has not yet reached its peak.

Of course, the reason why I study the wearable device industry is because the future of this industry is infinitely bright and has room for development. Replacing mobile phones is just one change brought about by the wearable device industry, but this change is enough to bring huge changes to our lives. For example, in the future smart home, remote control is a tool in primitive society for wearable devices. By monitoring the body's vital characteristics through wearable devices, we can achieve the best environmental control of surrounding devices. Of course, we can also tell the wearable device our requirements through voice, and this small wearable device can help us realize big dreams.

When mobile phones are replaced by wearable devices, the role and commercial value of big data will be magnified, and it will also drive the development of artificial intelligence and cloud computing, and of course biometrics. Although some of our so-called financial payment innovations based on mobile phones today, such as mobile wallets and other mobile Internet financial payment tools, are just transitional products for wearable devices.

No matter how close a mobile phone is to a person, even if we hold it in our arms while sleeping at night, we still find it difficult to solve the problem of binding and identifying the human body. From the perspective of the evolution of Internet user stickiness, the mobile Internet based on mobile phones has shortened the user stickiness that was calculated in hours during the PC Internet era, and shortened the user stickiness to minutes. The mobile Internet based on wearable devices will further shorten the time of this user stickiness, and will replace the era of mobile phone stickiness that was calculated in minutes, and enter a deeper era of seconds. At the same time, it is not just binding, but monitoring anytime and anywhere, not surveillance. This wearable device that digitizes our life posture characteristics is a completely different product from the mobile phone and is not comparable.

Especially after wearable devices are integrated with biometric technology, we can establish unique identification between the device and the user based on the user's heart rate, blood flow rate, fingerprint, pulse, etc., which is particularly important for mobile payments. We don't have to worry about wearable devices being stolen or lost, nor do we have to worry about passwords being cracked, because each wearable device will establish a unique identification method based on the user's vital body characteristics.

In the near future, wearable devices will replace not only mobile phones, but also our bank cards, bus cards, door lock keys, car keys, ID cards and other identity-related links. At the same time, it will bring unexpected changes to the entire business and people's lives. Wearable devices will truly bring us into the intelligent era and experience the intelligent life of everything connected.
