The long-awaited LeTV Super Phone has undoubtedly made LeTV one of the most talked-about companies in the mobile phone and Internet industries in recent times.

Recently, Hong Kong's No. 1 mobile phone information website Ringhk.com published a related news article titled "Rumor has it that LeTV's mobile phone will be launched soon, and two "flagship phones" will be released globally in Silicon Valley, USA?!" According to the news, the development of LeTV's mobile phone has entered the final stage, and its official release date will be April 28, when two flagship phones will be unveiled at a new product launch conference held in Silicon Valley, USA.

With the news breaking, the exact release time of LeTV's mobile phone is no longer the focus of industry attention, and the specific location of its press conference has become the fuse of another "big event" of LeTV.

Silicon Valley Conference: Starting late, jumping high

Against the backdrop of global market economic integration, there have been many reports of domestic mobile phone brands entering the international market. At the end of last year, before the official release of Xiaomi's new product, Xiaomi Note, there were rumors that Xiaomi would bring its new mobile phone, Xiaomi 5, to Las Vegas to attend the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Of course, it turns out that the rumors were just rumors, and Xiaomi's internationalization efforts only stopped at the Southeast Asian market.

As for LeEco, LeEco CEO Jia Yueting spent nearly five months last year personally inspecting and planning LeEco's overseas strategy. It is understood that LeEco has established two subsidiaries in the United States and set up LeEco Supercar Silicon Valley Office. Among them, the Supercar Silicon Valley team has become a research and development team of more than 260 people, and LeEco's local company has also been providing generous treatment to transfer outstanding employees to support.

If the news that LeTV's super phone was launched in Silicon Valley, the United States, is true, then it will become the first domestic mobile phone manufacturer to hold a new product launch conference abroad. This move also indicates that LeTV phones will be ahead of other domestic brands at the starting line.

Since last year, domestic mobile phone brands represented by Xiaomi, Huawei, and OnePlus have successively targeted and laid out their international market paths. However, due to unfamiliarity with relevant international market regulations, they have successively encountered problems such as being removed from the shelves due to patents and policies. Most of these domestic mobile phone brands that focus on low prices currently only stay in the Southeast Asian market with average consumption levels. It seems that it is still a long way to go to open up the European and American markets with more consumption potential.

Although the real LeEco super phone, which focuses on the concept of "ecosystem", has not been released yet, industry insiders have compared it with Xiaomi, Huawei and other mobile phone models based on the exposed hardware configuration. However, judging from the news that LeEco will release new mobile phones in Silicon Valley, the so-called LeEco ecological mobile phone does not seem to be planning to compete with other domestic brands, but focuses on improving the mobile smart terminal link and continuously expanding the LeEco ecological system under construction.

Targeting Apple: Different Path, or Will Surpass

In fact, most technology companies, including Apple, are building an unbreakable ecosystem "moat". The research and development and operation of corporate products may only be a specific number on the company's annual report, but the construction of its ecosystem is the real foundation for a company to stand tall in the world.

Take Apple as an example. It was Steve Jobs' painstaking design and pursuit of excellence that built an ecosystem with a unique user experience through the hardware and software of the products. As for the fallen Nokia brand, Nokia CEO Elop said that competitors did not rely on devices to seize its market share, but on the entire ecosystem.

Unlike the closed Apple ecosystem, LeEco's "platform + content + application + terminal" ecosystem construction focuses more on the user experience value and the degree of dependence of smart terminal devices on the LeEco ecosystem. For the Apple ecosystem, the closed part leads to the collapse of the entire ecosystem once the innovation of its products is challenged; while LeEco's ecosystem regards the construction of the entire system as the foundation of corporate development, and the research and development of all smart terminal products is nothing more than the improvement and supplement of the ecosystem.

This means that if users no longer like Apple's terminal products, then the Apple ecosystem it has built, no matter how powerful it is, will not be able to escape the ultimate fate of collapse; and if LeTV makes a mistake in a certain terminal device, then the LeTV ecosystem it supports will not produce large-scale changes.

In addition to building a different corporate ecosystem, Jia Yueting recently released two consecutive Weibo posts exposing the USB Type-C interface, which is comparable to the Lightning interface of Apple mobile phones and is more advanced. It is reported that the reason why the USB Type-C interface is favored by many technology companies around the world is precisely because of its efficient transmission rate and the convenience of being inserted from both sides. Whether LeTV, which is known for its "subversion", will introduce this latest interface technology in its new mobile phone products has greatly increased with the news of the Silicon Valley conference in the United States.

With the advancement of overseas strategies such as LeTV Super Car, LeTV's pace of layout in the international market has in fact been clearly visible for a long time. The official launch of LeTV Super Phone may officially push LeTV Ecosystem, a label that has been recognized by the domestic market, to the global market.
