Tech World presents a hodgepodge of black technologies, which one is Lenovo's main dish?

When the CEOs of Intel and Microsoft, first-line celebrities, domestic Internet giants, conceptual products, black technologies and thousands of fans appear at the same time, you would definitely think that this is the world's top technology event held in the "American Empire".

At this point, you have only guessed half right. It is indeed a world-class technology event, but it is held in China and its organizer is Lenovo Group, a veteran Chinese technology company.

The first Lenovo Tech World was a hodgepodge of performances featuring celebrities and high-tech. More importantly, it was an opportunity for Lenovo to unveil its new vision for the future after a decade of internationalization.

Tech World=Black Technology Conference

At Tech World, Lenovo and its partners showcased a series of new high-tech products. Lenovo Group Chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing said, "At this stage, users need cooler and more innovative devices that are powerful, fashionable, and able to show their personality. They need smarter connections. Not just today's smart phones, computers, and smart TVs. It also includes all the things you come into contact with every day. All the devices you can imagine must be smarter, smoother, and automatically connected to each other, to the cloud, and to every aspect of your life."

Magic Screen Watch: Different from existing smart watches on the market, Lenovo's display is a dual-screen watch. In addition to the main dial, its second screen is a "VID interactive virtual display screen". Using the principle of optical reflection, a virtual image is created on the second screen, which can be magnified to 20 times the dial display screen. Users can view maps, browse photos, and watch videos on this smart watch.

Through on-site experience, it is believed that its main dial is similar to the style of MOTO 360, and the display effect of the second screen is close to virtual reality glasses, which can change the observation perspective according to the user's head movement.

Smart projection phone: In the ever-changing mobile phone market, projection phones are nothing new, but the phone Lenovo showcased incorporates an infrared motion detector to recognize a variety of gestures including clicks, slides and multi-touch to enable gesture interaction on the projection screen. In addition to being able to achieve basic video and text projection, it can also operate on the projection through gestures to complete tasks such as playing the piano and typing.

Smart running shoes: This running shoe is derived from Lenovo's IoT cloud strategy, combining hardware, software and cloud services. It can not only display the wearer's emotions on the screen, track and analyze the user's fitness data, but also provide map navigation services for users. This smart running shoe concept.

In addition to the above three star products, Tech World also showcased RealSense technology from Microsoft, Cortana + REACHit technology from Microsoft, and artificial intelligence application demonstrations from Baidu.

Innovation will become Lenovo's main course in the future

When it comes to technological innovation, most people think of emerging Internet companies. Almost all established technology companies around the world are facing the burden of transformation and innovation. For Lenovo, which has entered its 30th year, only innovation can break through the outside world's inherent perception of it.

In the increasingly fierce market competition, relying solely on equipment innovation can no longer make the "giant" turn around, nor can it meet the needs of users. Only by perfectly combining hardware, software and cloud services can we produce products that meet the temperament of Internet +.

Facing user demands and future technological trends in the Internet+ era, Yang Yuanqing first proposed Lenovo's vision and mission in the Internet+ era at Tech World - comprehensively promoting intelligent interconnection from five aspects: connecting people and devices in a more natural way; making the connection between devices and networks stronger and more seamless; enabling devices to interconnect and interact with each other on a common platform and standards; connecting users and user data through personal cloud and big data; achieving seamless interconnection between devices, applications and services, so that users can get the services they need in the most natural way in one stop.

As we all know, Lenovo is currently transforming from a traditional PC company to a mobile Internet company, and has achieved considerable success. According to Lenovo's financial report, Lenovo's total revenue in the 2014/15 fiscal year reached US$46.296 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20%. A total of 148 million smart terminals such as personal computers, tablets, and smartphones were sold.

Recently, Lenovo also announced that the company's development focus will shift from product-centric to customer-centric; from selling products to providing unique experiences and attracting customers. At the same time, the new logo and the slogan "never stand still" were officially launched. David Roman, senior vice president of Lenovo Group, said that abandoning the old logo that has been used for 12 years is a manifestation of Lenovo's transformation to the Internet, and it is more international and better reflects Lenovo's status.

2015 marks the 10th anniversary of Lenovo's acquisition of IBM's PC business. This successful acquisition has made Lenovo a world-renowned technology company and consumer electronics manufacturer. It has also inspired Lenovo to expand into new business areas, including the acquisition of Motorola Mobility and IBM's x86 server business in 2014. It can be seen that in the era of Internet+, Lenovo is achieving "reverse growth" through strategic transformation and technological innovation.

In the future, innovation will become Lenovo's "main course", just as Ren Zhiqiang and Yang Yuanqing joked at Tech World.

Ren Zhiqiang: “Lenovo is good at assembling machines.”

Yang Yuanqing: "I hope that after today's event, your concept will be completely changed. Lenovo is not only about assembling machines, but also has many innovative achievements."
